As I discussed on 11 July 1994 with Mr. Bruce Hilton of Kleinfelder, the proposal
for the geoprobe investigation is acceptable as long as an additional geoprobe is placed
north of GP-8 to determine the zero-line of contamination in that direction and soil
samples are field screened with an organic vapor analyzer (OVA).
In addition, as I discussed with Mr. Tony Martin of Kleinfelder, the deadline of 30 July
1994 for submittal of the work plan and time schedule to delineate the lateral and
vertical extent of soil and ground water contamination at the facility, has been extended
until 5 August 1994. The Problem Assessment Report is still due on 1 December 1994.
If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 255-3048.
l ECC amu"
POLLY LOWRY
Associate Engineering Geologist
PAL:pal\ldj
cc: San Joaquin Public Health Services, Stockton
Mr. Roy Greengrass, Leprino Foods, Tracy
Mr. Bruce Hilton, Kleinfelder, Sacramento
Mr. Tony Martin, Kleinfelder, Stockton
