KLEINFELDER
5 SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of the work proposed is detailed as follows. The methodology proposed for
implementation of that scope of work is described in Attachment A.
5.1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD ACTIVITIES
Kleinfelder has prepared this workplan for submittal to the RWQCB for approval. Additionally, a
copy of this document should be submitted to the SJCEHD along with Boring/Well Permit
Applications for their approval. The permit must be approved prior to drilling the borings.
Following obtaining approval from the RWQCB for the workplan and from the SJCEHD for the
permit application, Kleinfelder will commence the actual field assessment.
5.2 FIELD ACTIVITIES
i
Six (6) Geoprobes will be driven to a depth of approximately 15 feet below ground surface (bgs)
in an attempt to further define hydrocarbon-affected groundwater. Soil samples would be
obtained at depths of 3, 8, and I1 feet bgs to obtain soil samples for moisture content
determination. The moisture contents will be used to determine the thickness of the capillary
i
I
l _
i
I
24-220176-FO1/CR43-8 (1994) Page 9 of 13 June 3, 1994
Copyright 1994 Kleinfelder, Inc.
