R5-2007-0811 AND
CLEANUP AND ABATEMENT ORDER NO. 94-704, LEPRINO FOODS COMPANY,
2401 MACARTHUR DRIVE, TRACY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (Central Valley Water
Board) staff reviewed Monitoring and Reporting Program No. R5-2007-0811 (MRP) and
Cleanup and Abatement Order No. 94-704 (CAO) for the Leprino Foods (Leprino) facility at
2401 MacArthur Drive in Tracy (Site). The CAO was issued to Leprino to require the installation
and operation of a remediation system to remove liquid phase hydrocarbons (i.e., "free product')
from the Site. The CAO states Leprino needs to continue cleanup activities until such time that
the Board determines that sufficient cleanup has been accomplished. Leprino has fulfilled all
the specific requirements outlined in the CAO and is in compliance with the MRP, which
requires semiannual groundwater monitoring and sampling at the Site.
Central Valley Water Board staff has concluded that the CAO and MRP are no longer necessary
for the remaining investigation and cleanup at the Site. Leprino needs to continue to comply
with future Board staff directives requiring additional groundwater sampling or collection of
additional data. CAO No. 94-704 and MRP No. R5-2007-0811 are hereby rescinded.
If you have any questions, you may call Kristi Shelton at (916) 464-4819 or email her at
kshelton(a)waterboa rds.ca.gov.
or AMELA C.
