4
least 20 gallons pumped through the pump' and hose. The pump was then rinsed with
' distilled water.
After purging, sampling of each well was conducted using new, clean, dedicated
disposable polyethylene bailers. Distilled water was poured into the bailer used for MW-1
and a bailer blank was collected prior to well sampling. The bailers were then lowered
into the wells via new dedicated poly cords, samples collected, and gently poured.into two .
Iaboratory provided clean glass VOA vials, . Each VOA vial was immediately sealed,
Lchecked for headspace, labeled with the date, time and location and placed in a cooler
containing blue ice at 4° Celsius. One plastic liter bottle was collected from each of the
monitoring wells for the analysis of dissolved metals. These samples were also labeled
with the date, time and location and placed in a cooler containing blue ice at 4° Celsius.
The samples were transported under strict chain-of-custody protocol to GeoAnalytical
Laboratories in Modesto, California for analysis. All samples were delivered to the
analytical laboratory within four hours from their time of collection. Appendix A contains
analytical data and chain-of-custody forms. Table 2 summarizes the analytical results from
the monitoring well samples for the June 22, 1995 sampling event. Analytical results from
previous sampling events are presented in Table 3.
5.0 GROUNDWATER ANALYTICAL RESULTS
5.1 Laboratory Analysis of Ground Water Samples
1 All ground water samples were submitted to GeoAnalytical Laboratories of Modesto,
California and were analyzed for the following constituents by the indicated methods:
Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) - Gasoline, Method 5030/LUFT
` Detection limit 0.05 pg/L.
Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl benzene, and Xylenes (BTEX), EPA Method 602
Detection limits 0.3 pg/L BTE, and 0.6 pg/L X.
• Dissolved Chromium, Method 7191
Detection limit: 0.01 mg/L
s • Dissolved lead, Method 7421
Detection limit: 0.01 mg/L
American Geological Services,Inc.
CA95DE-029
 - 5
i •
