r
r1.4 Hydrology
•
' Groundwater at the site is contained in a semi-confined or unconfined aquifer typically 10
to 15 feet below grade. However, ground water was measured at an approximate depth of
8 feet bgs during the spring of 1995. Historically, groundwater at the site demonstrates a
shallow gradient that slopes to the northwest.
r
2.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of this report is to present analytical data collected during the March 16,
1999 quarterly sampling event. Sample collection methodology, laboratory analytical
' methods, analytical data and an evaluation of the data are described in subsequent
sections of this report.
, 1
3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
 r
The following tasks were conducted in order to meet the objectives of this phase of the
investigation at this site:
1
• Collect ground water elevation data accurate to 0.01 feet.
r • Purge and sample two ground water monitoring wells to obtain representative
samples.
II • Submit all ground water samples to a California State certified analytical laboratory
for analysis of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents.
r • Prepare this report summarizing the methodology and analytical data obtained and
making recommendations for further work as warranted.
' 1
I
' 4.0 GROUNDWATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
On March 16, 1999, monitoring wells MW-lA and MW-6 were purged and sampled.
Prior to purging, each well was measured for depth to water and total depth, accurate to
r
American Geological Services, Inc.
CA95DE-029
5
r
