San Joaquin County EHD
September 30, 2004
Total lead was detected in SBI, S133, S134, and SB5 at concentrations ranging from 5.5 :parts per
million (ppm) to t2 ppm, but were below the laboratory detection limit in the samples collected
from borings S132 and S136. These levels are consistent with naturally occurring lead in the soil.
Various Title 22 Metals were detected in soil sample collected from below the former waste oil
UST, however, none of these analytes were detected at levels approaching the Preliminary
Remedial Goals (PRGs) established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the State of
California. It is evident that the soil does not contain any Title 22 metals above naturally
occurring levels. Analytical results are summarized in Table 1. A copy of the laboratory report is
included in Attachment C.
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the results of soil samples collected from borings SB 1 through SB6; it does not appear
that the soil beneath the former gasoline USTs, the dispenser islands, or the waste oil UST has been
impacted by past use of the facility as a retail gasoline and automobile service station.
RECOMMENDATIONS
No additional investigation is warranted at this site.
