Four proposed soil borings will be drilled at the
general locations shown on Figure I. Groundwater is anticipated to
occur in the site vicinity at a depth of 15 to 25 feet bgs, Therefore, if
groundwater is encountered in the soil borings a grotmdwater"grab"
sample will be collected. Upon completion of soil and possible
groundwater sampling„ the borings will be backfilled by Korbmacher
with cement grout,
• Soil Analysis. Selected soil samples will be submitted to a California
State-certified laboratory and analyzed. Analyses For the presence of
total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX compounds). and fuel
oxygenates tert-butly alcohol (TBA), methyl-tert butyl ether (MtBE),
di-isopropyl ether (DiPE), ethyl-tert-butyl ether(EtBE), tert-amyl
methyl ether(TAME), methanol, ethanol, 1-2, dicloroethane (1-2
DCA) and Ethylene dibromide will be performed
• Groundwater Sampling and Analysts. If groundwater is
encountered while drilling the soil borings, a groundwater"grab"
sample will be collected. Groundwater is anticipated at approximately
15 to 25 feet bgs. Groundwater samples will be submitted to a
California State-certified laboratory and analyzed for the presence of
TPHg, BTEX compounds, and fuel oxygenates (TBA, MtBE. DIPE,
EtBE. TAME, methanol, ethanol, 1-2 DCA and ethylene dibromide).
• Report. A report will be prepared after completion of necessary
fieldwork and upon receipt of laboratory analytical results. The
report will include boring logs, site map, soil analytical results, chain-
of-custody documentation, and findings (by Korbmaclter).
Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment A.
SCHEDULE
SECOR is prepared to initiate fieldwork November 14, 2000. A report documenting the
findings of the investigation is anticipated to be submitted approximately 2 to 4 weeks
after completion of all fieldwork and receipt of all laboratory analytical data.
'rracv V=wi Lot VkPInAne
