Work Plan for Environmental Investigation May 18 , 1989
Proposed ARCO Station Woodbridge, California AGS 39044-1W
Tests will be performed at a laboratory certified by the State of
California for the analyses requested.
GRADIENT CALCULATIONS
Ground-water gradient will be evaluated to provide an indication
of the direction of ground-water flow at the site. The ground-
water monitoring wells will be surveyed by a land surveyor
r licensed in the State of California, to reference differences in
elevation between the tops of the well casings to a known local
benchmark, to within 0. 01-foot. Water-depth measurements will be
J. r made in each onsite monitoring well with an electric -water-level
indicator. These data will be combined to evaluate the relative-
elevation of the ground-water surface in each well, the slope of
Fr the ground-water gradient, and the inferred direction of ground-
water flow across the site.
REPORT PREPARATION
A report summarizing soil encountered and stratigraphy, field and
laboratory results,, contaminant distribution, and our conclusions
and recommendations will be supplied to ARCO. Information
gathered during the study will be considered confidential and
1.7 ..
it -
A,nv/ied GOOSYSZOMs -
