Preliminary Subsurface Investigation Report <br /> Woodbridge Arco - Store No. 5650 <br /> 18970 Lower Sacramento Road;Lodi, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> f At the request of Mr. LawrenceWight Wight of Wight Enterprises, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. <br /> (AGE) has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Subsurface Investigation Report for the property at <br /> 18970 Lower Sacramento Road,Lodi, California(the site). The location of the site is illustrated on <br /> Figure 1. Major features on the site and soil probe boring locations are illustrated on Figure 2. The <br /> work was performed to assess for possible environmental concerns associated with the property. <br /> i' This investigation was performed in accordance with guidelines of the Central Valley Regional <br /> Lo Water Quality Control Board for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. <br /> Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared,Preliminary Subsuf face Investigation <br /> Work Plan dated 12 February 2001. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work included advancement of three soil probe borings, collection and analysis of soil <br /> and ground water samples and abandonment of the soil borings. <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 26 February 2001, three soil probe borings (P-1 through P-3) were advanced at the site as part <br /> of the site assessment. The field work was conducted as,outlined in the AGE-prepared,Preliminary <br /> Subsurface Investigation Work Plan dated 12 February 2001. An on-site ground water monitoring <br /> well was purged and sampled on 01 March 2001. <br /> 3.1. DRILLING ACTIVITIES <br /> Soil probe borings P-1 through P-3 were advanced utilizing a truck-mounted Geoprobe 5400 <br /> equipped with 1.125-inch diameter probe rods using "direct push" technology. Soil probe borings <br /> P-1 and P-2 were advanced vertically toa depth of 25 feet below surface grade (bsg). Soil probe <br /> boring P-3 was advanced to 32 feet bsg before refusalprevented further advancement. An attempt <br /> was made to collect a grab ground water sample, but groundwater was not encountered. Borings <br /> were backfilled to surface grade with Portland cement under observation by personnel from the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division. <br /> LN <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br /> Lr ' <br />
