Report on Soil and Ground-Water Evaluation- September 11, 1989
Proposed ARCO Station, Woodbridge, California AGS 39044-1
The-local surface drainage includes-the-Mokelumne River and the South Main Canal. The
Mokelumne River drains::to the- west approximately 1/2-mile north of the City of
Woodbridge. The South Main Canal flows to the southwest and originates approximately
300 feet south of the site. Depth to ground water was found to be approximately 15 feet
below grade during the work at the site. -
PROXIMITY TO-WELLS AND UTILITIES
Based on information -obtained during conversations with the Woodbridge Irrigation
District, we understand that the City of Woodbridge has no public water supply and that
a large portion of the domestic water use is supplied by private wells.. We understand-some
water is supplied by the Mokelumne Acres Maintenance District of San,Joaquin County.
According to records at the CaliforniaDepartmentof Water Resources (DWR), there is
one municipal water-supply well for the City of Lodi approximately 6,000 feet south of the
site. Several domestic water-supply wells are within 1/2-mile of the site with some within
_ -300 hundred feet. The approximate surface locations of these and other wells within an
approximate 1/2-mile radius of the site are shown on the Site Vicinity Map. Other
domestic wells maybe in the site area but could not be located using records available _
from the DWR.
4 _
App/ied GeoSystems -
z _.
