Report on Soil and Ground-Water Evaluation September 11, 1989
Proposed ARCO Station, Woodbridge, California AGS 39044-1
Utilities surrounding the site consist of a 6 inch-diameter high pressure gas line west of the
site in-Main Street. In addition, a Pacific Bell and Pacific Gas and Electric easement is on
the east side of the property in Main Street. We understand from information provided by
ARCO that this right of way has'been abandoned. An 8-inch-diameter water line is-on the
west side of Main Street: :-A 6-inch-diameter sanitary sewer line is east of the site. . The
approximate location of these utilities, as supplied on the-ARCO land planning survey, are
shown on Plate P-2.
FIELD INVESTIGATION
Work conducted for this investigation at the site included performing a soil-vapor survey,
drillingfour soil borings and installing three ground-water monitoring wells in selected
borings. The wells were installed-in areas which we believed would give the needed data
for evaluating the property and ground-water gradient. In addition, the wells were installed
in areas where they wouldremain accessible after construction of the proposed station
facilities. The locations of the monitoring wells relative to other site features are depicted
on Plate P-2. Locations of the-wells-relative to proposed station facilities are depicted on
Plate P-3. Monitoring well. MW-1.and boring B-4 were installed in the area where we
understood the former tanks had- been at the site. Monitoring well MW-2 was located
toward the south side of the property to evaluate that portion of to property and MW-3 was
5-
App/lead Ge0SYS&Y77S
