Report on Soil and Ground-Water Evaluation September 11 1989
Proposed ARCO Station, Woodbridge, California - - AGS 39044-1
Fremont, California, which is certified by the State of California-to perform the requested
analyses (Hazardous Waste Testing Laboratory Number 153). The results of the soil .
v
sample analyzed are summarized in Table 2. Results indicate that the levels of TPH and
BTEX were below detection limits of the tests with the exception of toluene and total
xylenes from the soil sample analyzed from boring MW-1. Levels of toluene and total
xylenes found in this sample were 0.092 ppm and 0.28 ppm, respectively. Copies ''.of the
laboratory analytical reports are included in the Appendix to this report.
Ground-Water Samples -
Ground-water samples from each monitoring well were analyzed-for TPH as gasoline using
modified EPA Method 8015 and BTEX using EPA Method 602 by the Applied GeoSystems
Laboratory. The results of these analyses are summarized in Table 2. Levels of
hydrocarbons were below the detection limits for the tests used in all the ground-water
samples analyzed. Copies of laboratory analytical reports for the ground-water chemical
analyses are included in the Appendix to this report.
_ EVALUATION-OF GROUND-WATER FLOW DIRECTION
The ground-water gradient was evaluated to provide an indication of the direction of
ground-water flow at the site.
