Although the sample identification nomenclature was described in an email fzom Mr. Rusty <br /> Benkosky of SECOR on 5 January 2005, the final investigation report needs to clarify which <br /> samples are confirmation samples and the location of the sample collection(i.e.,bottom or <br /> sidewall). <br /> 3 In Mr. Benkosky's 5 January 2005 email,he states that a preliminary QA/QC of the laboratory <br /> analytical data was performed,but a final QA/QC will be included for the final report. The <br /> investigation report needs to discuss not only the QAIQC of the data,but also detection limits of <br /> the samples. Some of the method detection limits were elevated and resulted in non-detectable <br /> results,with some of the method detection limits being above levels for acceptable risk. <br /> Although Regional Board and DTSC staff acknowledge that the data collected during these <br /> activities were not in support of a health risk assessment,all data collected at the site is <br /> considered potentially viable for the completion of a health risk assessment. <br /> As stated above,the final remedial activities investigation report is due by 10 February 2005 and needs <br /> to address the above comments.
