• Toluene was detected in samples from four wells at concentrations ranging from
' 3.1 pg/L in MW-7D to 21,000 pg/L in VE-1. The concentration of toluene in the
sample from well VE-1 exceeded the MCL of 150 pg/L.
' • Ethylbenzene was detected in samples from five wells at concentrations ranging from
0.82 pg/L in MW-3A to 2,800 pg/L in VE-1. The concentrations of ethylbenzene in
the sample from well VE-1 exceeded the MCL of 300 pg/L.
' • Xylenes were detected in the samples from five wells at concentrations ranging from
0.94 pg/L in MW-3A to 16,000 pg/L in VE-1. The concentration of xylenes in the
' sample from well VE-I exceeded the MCL of 1,750 pg/L.
• MTBE was detected in the groundwater samples collected from seven wells at
' concentrations ranging from 1.9 pg/L in MW-7D to 1,100 pg/L in VE-1. The
concentrations of MTBE in the samples from wells MW-1, MW-7S, VE-1, and CT-
MW-8-87, exceeded the California MCL of 13 pg/L.
' • TBA was detected in samples from six wells at concentrations ranging from 5.3 pg/L
in CT-MW-9-120 to 65 pg/L in MW-2A.
' • DIPE was detected in wells MW-2A and CT-MW-9-120 at concentrations of 0.64 and
1.1 pg/L,respectively.
' • ETBE and TAME were not detected in the samples.
• 1,2-DCA was detected in well MW-7D at a concentration of 1.2 pg/L. The
' concentration of 1,2-DCA exceeded the MCL of 0.5 pg/L in the sample.
• 1,2-DBA was not detected in the samples.
2.4 Texaco Wells—Procedures and Analytical Data Evaluation
' Groundwater monitoring was performed at the three Texaco wells (TX-MW-8-50,
TX-MW-14-49, and TX-MW-21-80) located on Site. During the second and fourth quarterly
events, Blaine Tech, Inc. (Blaine Tech) performed the groundwater gauging, purging, and
' sample collection activities as usual for the former Texaco site as part of the site's semi-
annual groundwater monitoring program. As part of the access agreement, ETIC gauged and
collected split samples of the three wells in coordination with Blaine Tech. After Blaine Tech
gauged and purged the wells, they split the sample volume from their disposable bailer with
ETIC directly into the sample containers. During the first and third quarter events, ETIC
gauged, purged, and collected the three groundwater samples. The three samples were
labeled and recorded on a separate COC. The samples were identified as TX-MW-8-50,
' TX-MW-14-49, and TX-MW-21-80.
During this quarterly event, the analytical results for the groundwater sample collected from
TX-MW-8-50 reported all non-detects for TPH-g, BTEX, the five fuel oxygenates, and the
fuel additives. None of the reported results exceeded the California MCLs for this sample.
' Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
First Quarter-January 7010
Prepared For:Sam Lee Bakery Group,Ine.
