1 <br /> t <br />' 1 INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Interstate Brands Corporation, EMCON conducted a subsurface soil and <br /> groundwater investigation at the former Dolly Madison Facility, located at 1426 South <br /> Lincoln Street, Stockton, California (see Figure 1) The purpose of this investigation was <br />' to evaluate whether site activities associated with the underground storage tank (UST) <br /> have impacted the soil and groundwater beneath the site <br />' The work performed included drilling three vertical soil borings, installing two <br /> groundwater monitonng wells, developing and purging the monitoring wells, installing one <br /> vapor extraction well, and collecting soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analyses <br /> of hydrocarbon constituents Data gathered during the investigation was used to evaluate <br /> the extent of residual hydrocarbons in soil and to assess whether groundwater underlying <br /> the site has been affected by hydrocarbons This report summarizes the tasks performed <br />' during this investigation, includes the laboratory results, and presents EMCON's <br /> interpretations and conclusions <br /> t <br /> 5A( \N\YJ2\2605\260510101B5-97\cJh2 emcon <br /> 22605-101 001 1-1 Rev 0 8141'97 <br />
