Verified groundwater contamination at farm UGT
sites typically will be referred to the CVRWQCB for regulatory oversight unless the
responsible party'requests, in writing, PHS-EHD oversight for the remediation. The
responsible party, will be required to enter into a written agreement with PHS-EHD as
specified in Senate Bill 1248 (enclosed).
Sites where soil contamination only remains;onsite, will be evaluated for closure based
upon the risk they pose to the public and the,.groundwater. Sites that successfully
document that the impacted1 soils were successfully mitigated will receive a "No further
Investigation" letter from PH'S-EHD upon final review and payment of all fees.
hope this clearsup the options available to-you regarding the UGT investigation and
remediation at this farm UGT site.
