Site Assessment Work Man Advanced Environmental Concepts, Inc. <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> rMr. Frank Oberti, of Prudential Agricultural Investments has authorized Advanced Environmental <br /> i•� Concepts, Inc. (AEC) to prepare this site assessment work plan for soil borings at the property <br /> identified as Paulson Farms. The site is located at 700 West Linne Road, approximately 6 miles <br /> southeast of Tracy, California (Figure 1). The San Joaquin County Public Health Service <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD) is 'the lead agency for this project. The specific <br /> locations of the proposed borings are presented on Figure 2. <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br /> The assessment services described-in this work plan have the following objective: <br /> 'Evaluate the potential presence and horizontal and vertical extent of9 asoline and/or <br /> diesel fuel impacted soil or groundwater located in each of the two former UST <br /> emplacements. <br /> Based on information obtained from interviews conducted during the 1996 PSA,the former <br /> tank emplacements were.located as follows: <br /> 1 Two UST's approximately ppr_ mately 15 feet-east of the southeast corner of the storage shop <br /> attached to-the garage, south of the residential and office structures. <br /> 2) One additional UST approximately 15 feet south of the Quonset but in the <br /> compound area. <br /> 1.2 Scope of Work <br /> The scope of services described in this work plan are summarized below for clarification <br /> purposes. Detailed investigative methods are-presented in section 4.0 of this report: <br /> - 1. Locating underground utilities using Client records and Underground <br /> Service Alert (USA); <br /> 2. Drilling a total of six exploratory soil borings to evaluate the extent of the <br /> hydrocarbon impacted soil; <br /> 3. Collecting soil samples at 5-foot intervals, beginning at 5 feet BGL, using.a <br /> split spoon sampler lined with clean brass sleeves. The soil samples will-be <br /> field screened using a Photoionization-'Detector{PID) equipped with a 10.6 <br /> ev.lamp; <br /> 4.
