On October 16, 2007, the - -W.•0,1300092297 <br /> transformer over-pressurized and released an estimated 42 gallons of mineral oil into <br /> the vault and an underground electrical conduit.A fire occurred as a result of the./--- <br /> transformer <br /> hetransformer failure. PG&E and NRC Environmental Services performed emergency J <br /> response clean-up, including the removal of transformer oil and water from the vault <br /> and electrical conduit, as well as pressure washing the-"street near the transformer <br /> and cleaning out a nearby catch-basin. The oil from the transformer was sampled <br /> and determined to contain less than one part per billion (ppb) of polychlorinated <br /> biphenyls (PCBs). The transformer vault is estimated to be approximately 3 feet deep <br /> and during cleanup activities a small hole was identified in the bottom of the i <br /> transformer vault.
