The laboratory analyses indicate that detectable
' concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range
petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in MWA. The concentrations detected in
MW-I were significantly less than those of the May 2002 monitoring event. The domestic
' well and the remaining four of the sites five monitoring wells were below laboratory
detection limits for all analyzed constituents.
In a letter dated July 22, 2002, Lori Duncan, Senior REHS with San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department directed the testing of biodegradation indicators at the
Sinclair Trucking site. The biodegradation indicators show evidence of biodegradation
' activity at this site.
' The average groundwater elevation increased 0.16 feet since the June 2002 monitoring
event. Site-specific gradient calculations show groundwater flowing in a northeasterly
direction with a slope of 0.0040 ft/ft.
1.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING
1 1.1 Hydrogeology of Site
On August 6, 2002, the depth to groundwater was measured in all of the monitoring wells
prior to purging. Depths to groundwater ranged from a high of 8.53 feet below the top of
casing to a low of 9.11 feet below the top of casing. The average groundwater elevation for
