 I
10 July 2000
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0100
samples were also collected from each on-site domestic well to determine if an impact had occurred
to the water supply for the site. Water was collected from domestic well DW-I with a %z-inch bailer
while water was collected from the spigots on wells DW-2 and DW-3.
Each water sample was transferred into three 40-m1 volatile organic analysis(VOA)vials containing
0.5 ml 18%HCI as a sample preservative. After collection, the samples were labeled and placed in
achilled container for transportation under chain-of-custody to McCampbell Analytical,Inc.(MAI),
I ' a California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified analytical laboratory in Pacheco,
California. Each sample was analyzed for:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline(TPH-g)by EPA Method 8015 Modified
• Volatile aromatic compounds-benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes(BTEX)by
EPA Method 8020, with methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE)
• Oxygenated fuel additives - di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE),
MTBE,tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME)and tertiary butyl alcohol(TBA)by EPA Method
8260 Modified.
2.3. MONITORING WELL SURVEY
r
The casing elevation of each well installed for the UST investigation was re-surveyed relative to a
` bench mark near the site. On 09 June 2000, a California state-licensed survey engineer from
Baumbach & Piazza, Inc. (B&PI) surveyed a reference point on the top of each ground water
monitoring well at the site to the nearest 0.01-foot. The results of the monitoring well survey are
summarized in Table 1. The B&PI surveying report is attached in Appendix B.
2.4 WASTE WATER AND SOIL DISPOSAL
Water and soil cuttings generated during the installation of the ground water monitoring wells and
well sampling events were collected by ABCO Environmental. The water was disposed under
manifest at Invirotech in Lincoln,California and the soil cuttings were disposed of under manifest at
the Altamont Landfill. The manifests are attached in Appendix C.
3.0. FINDINGS
3.1.
