k" KLEINFEIDER
i
I
1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Ground water assessment was conducted at 100 East Louise Avenue, Lathrop; California. ;
The objective of the assessment was to assess the potential presence of ,petroleum
hydrocarbon constituents, 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane (DBCP), and 1,2-dibromoethane
(EDB) in the ground water in the vicinity of the property. j
Three ground water samples were collected from three shallow borings advanced on the
s
property. Ground water samples were extracted from the bottom of each borehole using
the BAT Probe and were submitted to California Analytical Laboratory/Enseco for
i
I
quantitative analysis. '
Petroleum hydrocarbon constituents, DBCP, and EDB were not detected above'laboratory
reporting limits in the samples. `Low concentrations of toluene and acetone were detected,
but these were introduced as laboratory contaminants. Carbon disulfide was detected in
r
the samples but, based on information provided by Nick Berzins of BAT Envitech, if is' }
believed that the rubber parts on the BAT Probe were the source of the carbon disulfide.
Results of the chemical analysis indicate that ground water at the site does not appear to be
affected by petroleum hydrocarbon constituents, DBCP or EDB. . Kleinfelder does not
recommend additional assessment at the site at this time. '
r
This executive summary is subject to the limitations explained in Section 6 of this report.
i
Iy i
I
I
I!
i
I
L i I
y FR25-91-22 Page 1 of 7
Copyright 1991 Kleinfeldcr,Inc.
