' LFR Inc.
' Results for laboratory control samples, matrix spikes, and matrix spike duplicates are
within the accepted QA/QC criteria.
' One duplicate groundwater sample pair was collected during each day of the sampling
event: on June 1, 2006, duplicate DUP-01 and its primary sample (MW-07) were
' collected and analyzed for diesel-range hydrocarbons, motor oil-range hydrocarbons,
VOCs, and SVOCs. In addition, on June 23, 2006, duplicate DUP-01 and its primary
sample (MW-8) were collected and analyzed for diesel range hydrocarbons, motor oil-
range hydrocarbons, and metals. The duplicates were submitted to the laboratory as
part of standard field quality assurance/quality control procedures.
' Analytical results for the duplicate groundwater sample collected on June 1, 2006
indicated that reported concentrations were generally consistent with analytical results
for the primary groundwater sample collected from MW-7 with the exception of TPHd
' as shown in Table 2.
' Analytical results for duplicate groundwater sample collected on June 23, 2006
indicated that the RPD between the primary and duplicate samples collected from well
MW-8 for TPHd, and TPHmo exceeded the EPA criteria, as shown in Table 2.
Per EPA protocol, aqueous duplicate samples should be within 30 percent relative
percent difference (RPD). Based on the analytical results between the duplicate and
' primary samples, four results were out of compliance and were qualified as estimated
concentrations. The qualified data are presented in Table 2. No other data were
qualified based on the data validation review.
Table 2
Qualified Results for Groundwater Samples
Trac Tire Fire Site
Well ID Sample Analyte Primary Duplicate Units RPD
Date Result Result
Diesel-range 150 110 ug/l 31%
MW-7 6-01-06 h drocarbons
Diesel-range 1,100 650 µg/l 51%
'
MW-8 6-23-06 hydrocarbons
oil-range
490 <280 Pg/1 55%
hydrocarbons
' 5.0 MONITORING AND SAMPLING RESULTS
' The following sections describe the groundwater gradient and flow direction and
groundwater analytical results.
' Finai_ow Mon Rpt June 2006.doc:LFR Page 5
