1 <br /> Cieolagrcal Tec"ics Inc Page 3 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 662 2 <br /> September 24,2003 <br /> ' A chain of custody document listing all samples collected, accompanied the samples from <br /> field to laboratory, thereby providing a means to track their movement and insure their <br /> integrity <br /> ' <br /> All water purged from each monitoring well and not used as a sample, was placed in a 55 <br /> gallon DOT approved container, properly labeled and stored on site until its proper <br /> disposition can be arranged <br /> Groundwater monitoring field logs are included in Appendix C <br /> ' 1.3 Laboratory Analyses <br /> The groundwater samples collected on August 20, 2003, were delivered to Sherwood Labs <br /> ' (Department of Health Services Certification No 1400) of Hilmar, California, for analysis <br /> The groundwater samples were analyzed for <br /> ' + Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene (BTEX) by EPA method 8020 <br /> + Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 5030/8015(M) <br /> Sherwood forwarded samples to Castle Analytical Laboratory (Department of Health <br /> Services Certification No 2480) of Atwater, California, for analysis of <br /> • Oxygenated Fuel Compounds (MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME & TBA) by EPA method <br /> 8260 <br /> ' The detection limits foi the above analyses are listed in Table 2 of Appendix A while the lab <br /> analytical results are presented in Appendix B <br /> 1 As required under AB2886, the groundwater elevation & laboratory data were submitted <br /> electronically to GeoTracker on September 15, 2003 (confirination # 7444508194 & <br /> 5284253299) <br /> 2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br /> ' The results of theroundwater <br /> g sample analysis show the fallowing <br /> ' • MW-1 contained the gasoline oxygenate MTBE at 690 pg/l The well also contained <br /> gasoline oxygenates ETBE and TAME at 1 2 and 4 7 ug/l, respectively These levels are <br /> consistent with past results <br /> ' • MW-2, which is upgradient of the fonmer USTs, has not contained contaminant <br /> concentrations above the laboratory detection limits for all quarterly events completed <br /> thus far in the investigation (15 events) <br />
