ORDINANCE NO 1275 <br /> PAGE NO 14 <br /> . (i) Any solid or viscous pollutants in amounts which will cause <br /> obstruction to the flow in the collection system or the treatment <br /> works, or which will require unusual attention or expense to <br /> convey and/or treat. <br /> (n) Any discharge which creates a fire or explosion hazard in the <br /> collection system or the treatment works, including but not <br /> limited to, waste streams with a closed cup flashpoint of less <br /> than 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) using test <br /> methods specified in 40 CFR 261 21 <br /> (iii) Any heated discharges which cause the influent into the <br /> treatment works to exceed 104 degrees Fahrenheit, and any <br /> heated discharges which create a hazard to the water pollution <br /> control system personnel or inhibit biological activity in the <br /> treatment plant <br /> (iv) Any discharge which has been diluted as a partial or complete <br /> substitute for treatment to achieve compliance with this Waste <br /> Ordinance, the user's industrial discharge permit, or the <br /> National Categorical Standards <br /> (v) Any discharge of hazardous waste, as defined by Title 22 of <br /> the California Code of Regulations without the written approval <br /> of the Director of Public Works <br /> (vi) Any discharge which causes noxious or malodorous gases at <br /> or near the Manteca water pollution control system facilities or <br /> the facilities of any member jurisdiction of the City of Manteca, <br /> or which otherwise creates a public nuisance <br /> (vii) Any discharge which results in the formation of toxic gases, <br /> fumes, or vapors in a quantity that endangers the health or <br /> safety of Manteca personnel or the public <br /> (viii)Any discharge of pesticides, herbicides, or polychlorinated <br /> biphenyls (PCBs) in quantities deemed significant by the <br /> Director of Public Works <br /> (ix) Any radioactive wastes, except as allowed under the "California <br /> Radiation Control Regulations", CCR Title 23 sec 30100 et seq <br /> (x) Any discharge of any pollutant, including oxygen demanding <br /> pollutants (BOD, etc ), released at a flow rate and/or <br /> concentration which either singly or by interaction with other <br /> pollutants will cause interference with the water pollution <br /> control system <br />
