ORDINANCE NO ' 1275 <br /> PAGE NO 2 <br /> . (i) Protect the physical structures of the water pollution control <br /> system and the efficient functioning of its component parts <br /> (ii) Protect the health and safety of the personnel of the City of <br /> Manteca and its member jurisdictions, and to preserve the health and <br /> safety of the public <br /> (iii) Comply with all of the applicable and compatible local, State of <br /> California, and Federal laws, rules, regulations, codes, or orders <br /> (iv) Protect the environment from threat of hazard or harm resulting <br /> from the disposal of wastes <br /> (e) Applicability The requirements of this Waste Ordinance are applicable <br /> to all persons within the City of Manteca, and to all persons outside the City of <br /> Manteca who are, by contract, agreement or action, users of the City of <br /> Manteca water pollution control system, including any and all new and <br /> prospective users and any and all existing users <br /> (f) The Director of Public Works for the City of Manteca shall administer, <br /> implement, and enforce the provisions of this Waste Ordinance <br /> 13 020 020 Definitions and Abbreviations <br /> (a) List of Definitions <br /> Act: Any regulation contained in or amendment of the Clean Water Act <br /> Administrative Order. An enforcement document which directs industrial <br /> users to implement corrective or remedial measures Levels of enforcement <br /> include Cease and Desist Orders, Compliance Orders, and Show Cause <br /> Orders <br /> Agent Any person designated or retained by Manteca to fulfill the sampling, <br /> monitoring, reporting, or inspection services of Manteca as required by this <br /> Waste Ordinance, the industrial discharge permit and/or all applicable State, <br /> Federal, or local regulations, and/or to perform the enforcement actions required <br /> by this Waste Ordinance Agents may include, but are not limited to, any of the <br /> following the Manteca Director of Public Works, Assistant Director of Public <br /> Works, Inspector, Supervisor, and City Attorneys, and any consultant retained <br /> by the City to perform such services <br /> Approval Authority: The California Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br /> Central Valley Region <br /> . Assistant Director of Public Works: Assistant Director of Public Works for the <br /> City of Manteca or his agent <br />
