ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT <br /> Site Inspection <br /> The environmental site inspection consisted of a visual <br /> inspection on August 14 , 1,989 , of both the property grounds and <br /> the buildings . <br /> Located at the center of. the subject property is a one-story <br /> office/showroom (Figure 2) , Located in the northern corner of <br /> 4 <br /> the property and on the western property line are lumber storage <br /> buildings . A saw shop is located in the southeast corner . The <br /> rear of the property is used fo.r storage of lumber and building <br /> materials . In additi-on , a building used. for a door shop lies on a <br /> separate parcel to the south (Figure 2) . <br /> All of the buildings on the ;main parcel are of wooden <br /> construction , slab on grade . The exteriors are wood siding , <br /> plaster , corrugated metal , concrete block/brick , or a combination <br /> of all of these materials . A_. pre -engineered steel building used <br /> as a_ door shop sits on a separate parcel to the south of the <br /> main parcel .. Roofs were tar and gravel, composition shingles or <br /> corrugated metal . The entire yard for both parcels was paved with <br /> asphalt . <br /> BEI did 'not observe any obvious indication of hazardous 'materials <br /> storage . other than 55 gallon drums of oil consumed on site and <br /> new materials sold at retail "in- the store . <br /> No evidence of underground storage tanks was observed . <br /> No evidence of wood treatment' :or creosoting was observed . <br /> 4 <br />
