IV . STRUCTURE INSPECTION <br /> On Au ust 14 1989 an inspection of the structure was conducted <br /> g p <br /> at the subject site . BEI _did ' not review any drawings , prepare any <br /> calculations or do any testing of 'bui-l-ding materials to determine <br /> their structural capacities . <br /> All buildings on this site are in use , and in serviceable <br /> condition . There is 'no evidence of ma 'Jo°r problems with the <br /> structure . However , the following conditions were noted and <br /> should be investi,gated. by a structural engineer : <br /> 1 . The building columns. at the east end , of building 1 are <br /> damaged and iri .need 'of, repair . <br /> 2 . The,' columns holding up the lean-to on 'the east end of the <br /> north side of the main building are damaged and in need of <br /> repair . <br /> 3 . Of sixteen, columns in the main part of the bulding-, one has <br /> been removed to facilitate lumber storage . The new spans <br /> seem to be properly supported . . <br /> 4 . - A number of support columns were removed from building 2 . <br /> It does not appear that the structure is effected , however , <br /> a determination of the load carrying capacity should be made <br /> 4 and the area posted accordingly . <br /> - 8 - <br />
