4.0 FINDINGS
4.1 GEOLOGIC CONDITIONS
In each of the three borings advanced during this investigation, soils encountered to the depths explored
consisted predominantly of alternating layers of unconsolidated sand and silty sand with occasional sandy
silt interbeds. Prior to drilling the confirmatory soil borings, the water level in monitoring well MW-lA
was measured at 43.3 feet bgs. A perched water zone was encountered in a sand layer present at 25 feet
bgs in boring SB-3. This perched zone appears to be laterally discontinuous, as it was not encountered
' in neraby borings BH-4 and BH-5 or other borings previously advanced at the Site. A stiff, sandy silt
layer encountered at a depth of 33 feet bgs in boring SB-3 appears to act as a perching layer. Based on
water level measurements collected from the three on-site monitoring wells during previous Site
investigations, the regional water table occurs at depths ranging from 40 to 45 feet bgs.
' 4.2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS
All soil samples analyzed were reported to contain no detectable concentrations of TPHg or BTEX. A
complete copy of the analytical laboratory report and chain-of-custody record is presented in Appendix B.
r
CONFIRM.R M
50014-005-01 7
1
