Box 2009 * (1601 East Hazelton Avenue) •Stockton, C fifer +l 95201
(209)468-3400
December 23 , 1993 --
WEVER TRUCKING
777 LOCUST ST
RIPON CA 95366
RE: WEVER TRUCKING SIDE CODE: 1473
777 LOCUST ST
RIPON CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health
Division (PHS-EHD) , has recently reviewed the analytical results
of the soil taken from beneath the underground storage tanks that
were removed from this site on June 13, 1991 and March 29, 1993 .
This letter confirms the completion of the tank removal
investigation for the underground storage tanks 39--1473-02 and
39-1473-03 . However, the tank removal investigation for tank
39-1473-01 is not complete. Low to medium boiling point
hydrocarbons were found at a level of 290 ppm. This level of
contamination exceeds the allowable limits of leaching potential
as recommended by the LUFT Manuall. Tank 39-1473-01 cannot be
recommended for final closure without further investigation to
determine the full extent of the soil and/or groundwater problem.
In addition, PHS-EHD is providing you notification that an
"Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release (Leak)
Contamination Site Report" has been filed pursuant to Section
25295 (a) of the California Health and Safety Code. In addition,
the appropriate disclosure of a hazardous waste discharge
pursuant to section 25180.7 of the California Health and Safety
Code has been made.
Should you wish to mitigate the contamination documented at your
facility, San Joaquin County PHS-EHD has been designated by the
State of California Water Resources Control Board as the local
agency overseeing the investigation of leaking UST's. Contact
the PHS-EHD Site Mitigation Unit for further information
regarding this matter at (209) 468-3450.
A f)WWon of San]mqum Coanty Health Care Scfyx-m
