k..' *..W <br /> CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF REMEDIATION SYSTEM <br /> USA Service Station No.65 <br /> 2500 West Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> USA Station No. 65 is an active gasoline retail service station located at 2500 West Lodi <br /> .Avenue, Lodi, California. Soil and groundwater at the site are impacted with petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons. A soil vapor extraction system is to be installed to impact to soil and <br /> groundwater in the capillary fringe. The following represents the major scope items of <br /> the proposed construction activity. <br /> 1. Convert three onsite 4-inch monitoring wells S-1, S-2 and MW-8 to soil vapor <br /> extraction wells. See Sheet C-1 and Sheet C-3. Wells S-1 and S-2 are screened <br /> from 28 feet to 48 feet bgs. MW-8 is screened from 35 to 55 feet bgs. Depth <br /> to water (average—2"d quarter) at the site is 39 feet bgs. <br /> 2. Connect the three vapor extraction wells to the Stealth catalytic oxidizer, rated <br /> at 150 cfrn(provided by Stratus). See Sheet C-2. <br /> 3. Convert air sparge well and stub up the piping in system enclosure. The <br /> sparge will not be connected to the piping manifold. <br /> 4. Install a 25-foot temporary power pole per City of Lodi specifications (see <br /> attached) and details provided on Sheet E-1. <br /> 5. Provide power to the unlit from the temporary power pole. <br /> 6. Provide instrumentation to operate system. See Sheet M-1. <br /> CONSTRUCTION NOTES <br /> These notes are to be used along with the design drawings. Please forward all manuals <br /> and warranty information to Stratus for instrumentation purchased b Contractor. <br /> Contractor is responsible for removal of all debris from the site after the job is complete. <br /> Contractor to conduct business in a neat and professional manner. <br /> 1.0 Trenching and Piping <br /> See Sheets C-1 and C-3 <br /> Contractor to ensure safety of product and vent piping in the vicinity of the pump islands <br /> and USTs. Contractor to locate all utilities before initiating construction activity.
