i <br /> �.J 1.0 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report, prepared for Manteca Ford-Mercury Suzuki describes the Phase Two site <br /> investigation activities that were conducted at the Manteca Ford-Mercury Suzuki <br /> automobile dealership located at 555 North Main Street in Manteca, California(Figure 1). <br /> Site work was conducted on June 24, 1997. The site is an active automobile dealership in <br /> Manteca, California (Figure 2). The scope of this investigation was developed in <br /> response to a Preliminary Environmental Site Assessment, conducted in February 1997. <br /> The preliminary assessment revealed the following potential environmental issues: <br /> • The dealership contains nine former inground hoist locations, <br /> • An oil-water separator in Service Building 1, and <br /> • An inactive septic tank. <br /> The primary objective of this assessment was to gather data to determine if impacts to the <br /> subsurface have occurred. ENTRIX's field operations were conducted, as described in <br /> this report,to meet the primary objective. <br /> This report describes the installation of eleven soil borings with a hydraulic hammer ri <br /> p g Y g <br /> to collect data to meet the primary objective.
