Recovered soil samples will be..screened
in the field for the presence of organic vapors with a portable photo
ionization detector (PID).-- A groundwater sample will be collected from
each soil boring using a HydropunchTM (or similar) sampling assembly.
-After collection of groundwater samples, each soil boring -will be
abandoned by completely filling with bentonite chips and/or cement mixed
with bentonite. The surface will be patched with concrete or asphalt to
match the surrounding surface materials.
Task III
Submit selected soil samples (assume 1 sample from each boring) and
each groundwater sample collected for laboratory analysis. Samples will
be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as ,gasoline (TPHg) using
EPA, Method Modified 8015, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total
xylenes (BTEX) using- EPA Method .602/8020, total petroleum
hydrocarbons as motor oil .(TPHm)-using EPA Method Modified 8015,
HVOCs using EPA Method 8010, and 5 Metals - Cadmium, Chromium,
Nickel, Lead, and Zinc using EPA Method 6010.
Task IV
Upon receipt of analytical results, site data will be compiled and evaluated
and a letter report prepared and submitted to the client for review.
