r <br /> Winston#209 <br /> Manteca,CA <br /> August 8,2002 <br /> 4.5.3 Storm water <br /> Storm water is collected by gutters located throughout the parking lot and channeled to <br /> the east of the Site. Storm water is discharged into a small ponding basin located on a <br /> r vacant lot east of the Site.Roof drainage is via downspouts within the building.There are <br /> no known environmental issues with storm water drainage at the Site. <br /> ., 4.6 EXISTING GROUNDWATER ISSUES <br /> There are no known existing groundwater issues at the Site. <br /> 4.7 HAZARDOUS WASTE <br /> No evidence of improper disposal of hazardous wastes was observed. <br /> 4.8 SOLID WASTE <br /> Solid waste at the Site is collected and stored in a dumpster located at the southwest corner of the <br /> r Site. City of Manteca Refuse provides non-hazardous waste pickup for the Site. No significant <br /> staining or other evidence of hazardous materials releases was observed in the vicinity of the <br /> dumpster. <br /> r <br /> 4.9 FLOOR DRAINS <br /> A trench drain runs the full length of the north side of the Site building. The floor drain is routed to <br /> r an oil/water separator(OWS)located north of the building in the driveway area and discharges to <br /> the municipal sanitary sewer system. Floor wash water is collected in the floor drain. Floor wash <br /> water typically is either tap water or tap water mixed with a commercial soap. <br /> r <br /> 4.10 HYDRAULIC LIFTS <br /> Five belowground hydraulic lifts were observed during the Site visit.In addition,one aboveground <br /> �- hydraulic lift was observed in Service Bay # 5 towards the eastern end of the service area. No <br /> repairs to the lifts or replacement of any lifts were apparent. None of the lifts appeared to be leaking <br /> fluid. <br /> 4.11 OIL/WATER SEPARATOR <br /> An OWS was noted in the driveway area on the north side of the Site building at the location noted <br /> ` on Figure 2. The OWS receives wastewater from floor drains and, in turn, discharges to the <br /> sanitary sewer. According to Ms.Cloud,the OWS has been cleaned and inspected annually. The <br /> r <br /> OWS was installed at the time of construction in approximately 1995. <br /> 4.12 INTERVIEWS <br /> r <br /> 4.12.1 Site Representative <br /> Ms.Margaret Cloud,Manager of Winston Tire Store#209,provided information on past <br /> and current usage of the Site.
