If a sufficiently large groundwater sample can be <br /> obtained, the groundwater will be additionally analyzed for Natal extractable petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as diesel and motor nil (EPA Method 3510I8015 modified). Analyses will be <br /> conducted on a 24-hour turn-around time basis. <br /> (6) All sampling and drilling equipment will be steam cleaned andlor washed in a waterrndastrial <br /> detergent solution and rinsed in,distilled water prior to use at each sampling location- <br /> (7) Soil cuttings, steam cleaning rinsate, deanntamination wash water and any purged <br /> groundwater will be stored on-Site in DOT approved 55-gallon drums. 'fw drums will be <br /> labeled describing:the type and source of the material; the name and phone number of a <br /> contractor and generator contact; and the accumulation date. After analytical results are <br /> received, the drums will be relabeled either as hazardous or nonfiazardous waste, and <br /> arrangements will be made for appropriate disposal. <br /> (S) After completion of sampling at each location,the borings will be backfilled with bentonite- <br /> cement grout by pumping from the bottom up though the augers, or through a tremie pipe if <br /> free groundwater is encountered in the borings. This work will be done in the presence of a <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, inspector. <br /> Enclosed with this work plan is our check for$234 per your Site Mitigation Fee Schedule and <br /> a completed copy of Pages i0A and lon of your Master File Record for the Site. As we discussed, <br /> our schedule has been somewhat compressed.
