The Site is located at 1009 to 1205 South Main Street, Manteca, California.
We propose to perform the following work:
(1) Prior to drilling at each sampling location, we will contact Underground Service Alert so they
can contact the appropriate utility companies to locate underground utilities in the work areas.
In addition, the proposed drilling locations will be checked by a private utility locator that we
will hire.
(2) - _-A1e_will Aral five to nine-Svi°1 L-orinbs at the locations shown,on the S'ice`map submitteU"with `-
our permit application on April 28, 1994. The borings will be drilled using truck-mounted
drilling equipment with 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers. The soil borings will be
sampled at approximately 5-foot.intervals to just above the water table, which is anticipated at
a depth of approximately 20 feet below ground level (bgl). Soil samples will be visually
assessed for potential contamination in the field and screened using an organic vapor meter
equipped with a photo-ionization detector (PID).
(3) After the borings are advanced to just above the water table, we will advance a Hydropunch
IIS probe to a depth approximately 3 feet below:the bottom of the boring such that the
Hydropunch® screen will intersect the water table. We will collect a groundwater sample
from each sampling location by bailing from within the probe.
(4) If a sufficient amount of water for laboratory analysis cannot be retrieved using the above
described technique, we will advance the boring into the uppermost water bearing zone and
collect a groundwater grab sample from within the boring using a Teflon bailer.
Austin, TX Boulder, CO San Francisco, CA Seattle, WA Wallace, ID Pow `+
