JUL-10-1998 16:29 CAMBRIA 510 420 9170 P.04i22
Mr. Ron Rowe CAMBRIA
July 10, 1998
Access Agreements:Cambria has obtained an access agreement with Mr. Bob Den Dulk, the property owner
of the 333 East Main property to sample and inspect the well on that property, and install CPT borings on
that property. A copy of the agreement is included in Attachment C. We are pursuing access ag r ements with
the City of Ripon to install CPT borings in city street right of way, and are exploring whether an access D
agreement is required for the CalTrans well. 0
Additional Analyses: Cambria will analyze soil and ground water samples for fuel lead scav gens EDB and
EDC by EPA Method 8010 in addition to the analyses outlined in Investigutiun Work Plass Addendum#.3 until
further notice. Proposed detection limits for these chemicals are as follows:EDB-0.5 g!tg;/t,.EDC-0.5µg/L.
Historic Ground Water Elevation Research: Cambria examined historical -round water depth for three
wells in the vicinity of the site that were used to generate the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District map entitled"Lines of Equal Depth to Water in Wells"dated Fall 1977. A table of the
wells and their historic high and low elevations follows:
Well Ref. High Date Historic Low Date Historic
Elev. DTW(ft) Low DTW(ft) High
(ft) Elev.(ft) Elev.(ft)
2S/8E-7RI 64.0 25.5 10/6192 38.5 18.5 316/98 45.5
2S/8E-8EI 66.2 35.0 10/6/92 31.2 27_5 3/6/98 38.7
2S/7E-26BI 52.0 22.0 3/8/93 30 14.5 3/9/98 37.5
This data shows that the historic ground water levels vary no more than 15 ft. The depth to water during;the
most recent around water monitoring event was approximately 25 ft bgs. Cambria propos to use the
sampling and boring scope of work included in the Investigation Work Plan Addendum#3,which proposed
that the CPT borings be completed at approximately 45 ft bgs.
Cambria will continue to pursue more historical depth to water information for other wells in the vicnity of
the site and report the results of the investigation in soiland ground water-investigation(SWI)report.
3
