C A M B R I A Mr Ron Rowe
April 15, 1999
Pore Pressure Pore pressure dissipation (PPD) tests were performed at various intervals
I Dissipation Tests at two separate depths in CPT-11, CPT-13, CPT-14, and CPT-15 One
PPD test was performed in CPT-12 The data from the tests are plotted
and included in the data package from Gregg Drilling, which is included
in Appendix D Cambria calculated the static depth to water for each of
the tests from Gregg Drilling data package The results are presented in
Table 4
Ground Water Sampling Cambria collected four discrete ground water samples at the CPT-11
Iboring location A Microprobe sampler was used to collect ground water
samples in this boring With approval from SJCPHS, a hydropunch
sampler was used to collect three ground water samples from each of
CPT borings CPT-12 through CPT-15 Cambria's standard field
procedures for cone penetrometer testing are presented in Attachment C
Well Development. The new monitoring and extraction wells were developed, purged, and
sampled by Blaine Tech Services, Inc (Blaine) of San Jose, California
ion March 11, 1999 During the same site visit, Blaine purged and
sampled existing monitoring well MW-1 Sample results wells are
included in Table 3 A full report on the ground water sampling event
will be issued under separate cover
Chemical Analyses Cambria submitted a total of twelve soil samples and sixteen ground
water samples for chemical analysis Blaine submitted one ground water
sample from each of the five onsite wells for chemical analyses The soil
and ground water samples were analyzed for the following
• Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPPH) by modified
EPA Method 8015,
• Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA
Method 8020,
s Methyl tert-Butyl Ether (MTBE), Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether
(TAME), di-Isopropyl Ether (DIPE), Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether
(ETBE), tert-Butanol, and ethanol using EPA Method 8260, and,
• Methanol by modified EPA Method 8015
•
I 4
