\r„01 <br /> .r <br /> PRE-TANK R13IACE IENT SITE ASSESSMENT WORK PLAN <br /> ■W 1071 North Main Street,Manteca,California <br /> moo <br /> o Based on the results of classification and screening, submit one or more soil <br /> samples from each boring to a state-certified laboratory, to be analyzed for <br /> petroleum constituents. <br /> o Prepare a factual report to summarize assessment results and the need for further <br /> action, and develop a soil management plan for the planned tank replacement. <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located at the southwestern corner of the intersection of North Main Street and <br /> Lousie Avenue in Manteca, San Joaquin County, California, Township 1 South, Range 7 <br /> East, Section 32 (Figure 1). The site lies within a light commercial area in South Central <br /> Manteca. The San Joaquin County assessor's parcel number for the site is 217-07-11. <br /> 2.2 Site Description <br /> low The site is currently an operating Shell Service Station. The site consists of two canopy <br /> covered dispenser islands and a station/carwash building (Figure 2). One dispenser <br /> island is located on the north central portion of the site. The second dispenser island is <br /> JAW located on the eastern portion of the site. The station/carwash building is located on the <br /> southeastern corner of the station building. Three underground fuel storage tanks are <br /> located on the northwestern portion of the site. An underground waste oil tank is located <br /> adjacent to and southeast of the station building. The land surfaces of the site are paved <br /> with the exception of landscaped areas surrounding the site. The surface of the site is <br /> relatively flat. <br /> r <br /> 2.3 Adjacent Land Uses <br /> The site is bordered to the north, across Lousie Avenue, by a Jack-in-the-Box Restaurant <br /> and an empty lot, to the west, across North Main Street, by a Carl Jr.'s Restaurant and <br /> a strip mall containing a Safeway, Sprouse Reitz, Maries' Hallmark Cottage and a Food <br /> and Liquor Market. The site is bordered to the south by Golden West Elementary School, <br /> to the east by a Car Quest auto repair facility. The land surfaces of the adjacent lots are <br /> predominately flat lying and paved with the exception of two empty lots, which are <br /> unpaved (Figure 3). <br /> 91-013A.RPT 2 <br /> wr <br /> wr <br />
