1.f City of '� Fire 12 Stockto re Station No. - A68105.01 <br /> August 7, 1995 Page 6 <br /> 5.0 RESULTS AND FINDINGS <br /> Results of the field investigation and laboratory testing are summarized in the following <br /> L+ subsections. <br /> f <br /> 5.1 Soil Profile: The soil profile beneath the site consists of strata of sand with silt, sand <br /> with clay, and clay alternating with strata of silt to a depth of 45 feet BSG, the greatest <br /> depth explored. Descriptions of the conditions encountered in the soil borings are presented <br /> i in the logs of soil borings in Appendix B. <br /> The foregoing is a general summary of the subsurface conditions encountered in the soil <br /> fi^ borings drilled for this investigation. Stratification lines on-the soil boring logs represent <br /> Lr approximate boundaries between soil types. Actual transitions between soil types may be <br /> gradual, and the interpretation of various soil types from soil cuttings is subjective. <br /> 5.2 Groundwater Conditions: Groundwater was not encountered during this <br /> investigation. According to SJCPHS, the seasonal high groundwater corresponds to.a depth <br /> of 50 feet beneath the site. <br /> I <br /> 5.3 Soil Sample Analytical Results: A.summary of soil sample analytical results for soil <br /> borings B-2 through B-4 are presented in Table 3.
