This work plan <br /> has been prepared as requested by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (County) in their letter dated October 14, 2004, to obtain No Further Action <br /> Status for the site. A copy of this letter is included in Attachment 1. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is a former Chevron service station located at the northeast corner of East Main <br /> Street and F Street in Stockton, California (Figure 1). Currently, the site is a vacant lot. <br /> Former facilities at the site included three gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs), one <br /> waste oil UST, underground product piping and associated dispensers. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Proposed activities in this work plan include the destruction of four groundwater monitoring <br /> wells (MW-1 through MW-4). The locations of the wells are shown on Figure 2. Field and <br /> laboratory procedures are presented in Attachment 2. <br /> SITE SPECIFIC HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> As required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) "Hazardous <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120), and by <br /> \\Fs077a\projects-077\Chevron\96258\REPORTS\W el I_destruction_wp_96258(rev10-26-04).doc <br />
