CAMBRIA
1267 Country Club Boulevard, Stockton: This is a former Shell service station which ceased
operation in 1974. We have performed two site investigations to assess the lateral and
vertical extent of gasoline constituents beneath the site. The hydrocarbon plume at this site
appears to be stable or shrinking. Fuel oxygenates detected in some site wells are not derived
from the former Shell service station since the station closed prior to use of oxygenates in
gasoline. It is possible the fuel oxygenates originate from the adjacent (and upgradient)
service station. We plan to perform a sensitive receptor survey at this site during the third
quarter of 2001.
2494 East Fremont Drive, Stockton: This is an operating Shell-branded service station where
we recently submitted a work plan for further assessment (March 23, 2001). The work plan
has been approved and we are scheduled to begin drilling at the site June 11, 2001. We are
currently performing a sensitive receptor survey for this site and will report our findings with
the site investigation report.
7910 Lower Sacramento Road, Stockton: This is an operating Shell-branded service station
with three monitoring wells and very low concentrations. Additional assessment does not
appear to be warranted. Delta Environmental performed a sensitive receptor survey at this
site in July 1991.
7700 Moreland Court, Stockton: This is a Shell-branded service station that was a closed
environmental case until Equiva was notified by SJCPHS's January 24, 2001 letter that
SJCPHS has been assigned as the oversight agency for this site. We have not yet received a
request from SJCPHS to perform any work at this site. And since this is a new case, we have
not yet performed a sensitive receptor survey.
620 Charter Way, Stockton: This is an operating Shell-branded service station. We
submitted an investigation report to SJCPHS on July 20, 2000 and in that report
recommended additional assessment. We contacted SJCPHS during October 2000 to discuss
whether to proceed with the recommended work plan. SJCPHS staff told us that due to
staffing changes, the investigation report had not yet been reviewed and staff could not
advise us whether to proceed with a work plan. A water well survey was performed and
reported in the July 20, 2000 investigation report.
4445 North Pershing Avenue, Stockton: This is a Shell-branded (Independent) service
station. A work plan for further site assessment was submitted by Enviros, Inc. on
September 25, 1997 to SJCPHS. No comments on this work plan or work plan approval
have been received from SJCPHS. Cambria prepared a Phase I document for Equiva in
