+ C A M B R I A
r
Site Safety Plan:A Site Safety.Plan will be prepared for the fieldwork.
Monitoring Well Destruction: The three existing onsite groundwater monitoring wells are
proposed for destruction (MW-1 through MW-3). The wells will be pressure-grouted by an
appropriately licensed well driller under the supervision of a Cambria geologist. The well
casings will be filled with neat cement grout from the bottom up. Once the casings are filled
with grout, pressure seals will be placed'on top of the well casings and the well casings will be
'i
pressurized. This forces the grout through the well screens out into the filter pack material.
Then the wellhead vault boxes for each well will be removed, an area measuring approximately
two feet in diameter and approximately 3 feet below grade (fbg) will:be excavated,,the well
casings will be cut to a depth of approximately 2.5 fbg; and the remaining.holes will be
backfilled with concrete to grade.
Documentation: Following completion of the well destructions, Cambria will submit a report i
documenting the activities. Department of _ Water Resources ' (DWR) Well
Completion/Destruction forms will be completed for each of the destroyed wells and will be
submitted to DWR under separate cover.
SCHEDULE
Cambria is scheduled to implement well destruction activities on February 24, 2006. A report
documenting the well destruction activities will be submitted after completion of the field work.
i
0323 2
1
I '
