We have found the plan to be inadequate as
the following considerations are not addressed:
1. Seasonal high groundwater is less than 50 feet. The Sar,
Joaquin Local Health District recommends a subsurface
investigation following guidelines prepared by the
Tri- Regional Water (duality Control Board, "Staff
Recommendations for Initial Evaluation and Investigation
of Underground Tanks", and the LUFT Manual.
2. Identify the party responsible for disposal of drilling
spoils and/or bailed water from monitoring wells.
3. Submit a site specific health and safety plan.
These issues should be addressed in a revised sampling plan which
must be submitted to this office for approval prior to initiating
the workplan.
It should be noted that additional sampling may be necessary
should the results of the proposed sampling Effort not adequately
define the extent of contamination.
Should you have any questions concerning this .matter, please
contact Diane Hinson of my staff at (209) 468-3420.
Jogi Khanna, M.
