GeologicafTechnics Znc. <br /> 2741 Raw Road <br /> Modesto,Ca_forma 95351 <br /> (209)538 6424/jaX#538-5852 <br /> Report <br /> ' Additional Site Characterization <br /> ' Mard's Property <br /> 2969 Loomis Road <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> September 18, 2000 <br /> Project No 770 2 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' This report summarizes soil and groundwater investigative work conducted on August 21 & <br /> 22, 2000 Three soil borings were drilled at the site and converted into groundwater <br /> monitoring wells Two wells, MW-5 and MW-6, were completed as shallow wells screened <br /> across the water table at approximately 60 feet below grade One well, MW-105, was <br /> completed with a discretely screened interval at approximately 30 feet below the water table <br /> On September 11, 2000, a licensed surveyor surveyed the site to a City of Stockton <br /> benchmark elevation Two adjacent site wells were included in the survey <br /> ' 20 SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Department (SJC <br /> PHS/EHD) had required that nested wells be placed at locations MW-5 and MW-6 (please <br /> see Figure 2) in order to define the vertical and lateral extent of the contamination plume in <br /> those areas GTI proposed the following alternative, which was approved by SJC PHS/EHD <br /> Monitoring Wells at MW-5 Location <br /> ➢ Two soil borings located three feet apart would be installed at the MW-5 location shown <br /> in Figure 2 <br /> ' ➢ Soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals <br /> ➢ The first boring at the MW-5 location shall be drilled to a depth of 15 feet below the last <br /> contamination noted by field methods <br /> ➢ If, and only if, contamination extends to a depth of 80 feet, the boring will be completed <br /> as a 95 foot deep, discretely screened monitoring well and named MW-105 <br /> ➢ The second boring at MW-5 location will be free drilled to a depth of 75 feet and a <br /> monitoring well (MW-5) will be installed <br />
