PHS
Environmental Health Division
445 No. San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA 95202
Ref: 2969 Loomis Road (Site Code 2015; ) Quarterly Report,
monitoring well data
Dear Ms. Turkatte;
We have enclosed a copy of the field log, chain of custody form,
and laboratory analyzes of water samples taken from all three
monitoring wells on May 17, 1994. The last time that all three
wells were sampled was in May, 1992, although water level
measurements have been taken monthly since May, 1993. Because
there has been a constant decrease in the levels of contaminants
detected in MW 01, we decided to test all three wells again to
confirm that fact. As you can see from the attached laboratory
reports, all wells were below detection limits for BTEX & TPH-G.
The results of all analyzes are summarized on TABS I for your
information_
A review of water level measurements since the last sampling in
January, 1994, reveals a constant rise in the water table since
that time - an average of 1.72' . This is the highest level
recorded since measurements began in April, 1992.
We have also included a map showing the directions of hydraulic
gradients measured since monitoring began. They are labeled on
the attached EXHIBIT A, The data continues to show a variable
gradient with no consistent direction of flow.
CONCLUSIONS:
Based upon the results of the data obtained to date, the following
conclusions appear to be warranted:
1. The 20 water table measurements taken over a period of 2
years shows that there is no consistent hydraulic gradient at
this location.
2. All three wells have been in down-gradient positions at
various times during the past two years.
3. Levels of contamination measured beneath the property have
1
