M
t
 1
I
decreased steadily since monitoring began; the latest data showed
all substances were below detection levels in all three wells.
3 4. The water table has risen an average of 1. 72' since January,
+- 1994, while levels of contamination have: dropped. This indicates
rather conclusively that any contamination remaining in the soil
has been reduced to irreducible concentrations.
~ 5. It appears that natural bioremediation has been instrumental
in reducing the levels of contamination below detection limits_
RECOMMENDATION:
Based upon a 'thorough analysis of all of .the data, it appears
that soil andigroundwater contamination at this site has been
reduced to levels which are below detection limits and therefore
do not pose a'jhazard. We plan to measure water levels and sample
all three wells again in August; if no contamination is found, we
will recommend that the -three wells be properly destroyed, and
the site closed.
YouVe1 i
Wm. n er'; & As ociates
cc: Diesel Service
Garrison ©
.S
{
NUM
s
OF.
1
1 '
i
E
;y
