If contamination continues below 80'bgs, the well(s) will be completed with two (2) strings
of blank& slotted 2" PVC. One suing will extend approximately 20 feet below the deeper
water, or 80 feet bgs. The other string will be placed across the first water, estimated to be at
about 60 feet bgs. PLATE IIIA isa schematic of one method of accomplishing that task.
However, the actual technique will.depend upon conditions encountered during the work.
PLATE M is a schematic of a single zone completion.
4I
i
6. Drill solids will be placed on plastic and properly covered.,, The soil will be sampled and
analyzed as required for transport to an approved disposal facility.
h
7. Depending upo6 the results of soil and water analyses, the:soil borings will either be
completed as monitoring wells as described above, or thoroughly grouted from total depth to
p
the surface.
:e
8. If one or both soil borings are converted to monitoring wells, they will be developed and
sampled within 36 to 48 hours after completion. Water samples will be analyzed for BTEX,
TPHg, and TPHd using San Joaquin Co. EHD approved tests and detection limits. Depth to
k water in all wells will be determined during this work, and water samples will also be collected
from MW-1 & MW--4 & analyzed for the same constituents as the new wells.
ij
9. If appropriate, the elevation and-surface coordinates of each well will be determined by a
licensed surveyor.
j
10. All field operations will be supervised by a qualified geologist under the direction of a
representative`of the San Joaquin Co. EHD.
Upon completion of the work, and receipt and analysis of the Jaboratory results, a report will be
submitted to the Sana Joaquin County EHD for review and response.
WOed
ter&Associates
E
i D , 1.998
Ruary 8, 1999
cc: CVRWQCB - Mark List
John Marci '
Garrison Law Corp.
a=
4
f
