Well Destruction Work Plan 2 <br /> f� Fuller Mobile Home Park,365 East Louise Avenue,Lathrop,CA September 21,1998 <br /> i <br /> ,i work at the site,Underground Service Alert(USA)will be contacted to delineate subsurface piping <br /> i' in the areas surrounding the well proposed for destruction. <br /> i <br /> Well Destruction Field Work <br /> SECOR will supervise destruction of seven groundwater monitoring wells following the California <br /> j; Well Standards Bulletin 74-90 Part III, Section 19 and 23 and the San Joaquin County PHSEHD <br /> Well Standards 13.17 (Attachment 3). Prior to starting the well destruction work, the depth to <br /> 1 •� <br /> i bottom of casing will be measured in each well to insure no obstructions are present. <br /> �l <br /> f' The four offsite wells located in the City right-of-way will be pressure grouted to three feet below <br /> i. grade surface(bgs),the well boxes and upper 3 feet of casing removed, and the remaining void filled <br /> i with aggregate base rock to within l foot of grade. The final foot will either be filled with <br /> �j compacted aggregate rock to match the existing road side gravel or capped with quick setting <br /> I' <br /> cement and finished flush with the existing paving. <br /> i' <br /> The three onsite wells: MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3, will be over drilled to the bottom of screened <br /> interval using a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers. Each <br /> #1 ' <br /> well will be grouted through the augers using a tremie pipe to within 3 feet of grade using neat <br /> cement. The well boxes and upper 3 feet of well casing will be removed and the remaining void <br /> filled to grade with native soil or engineered fill material (sand or aggregate base rock). <br /> The well boxes and PVC material will be disposed of offsite.
