Summary of Well Destruction and Request For No Further Action Letter 3 <br /> culler Mobile Home Park 365 Last Louise Avenue Lathrop,CA October 21 1998 <br /> and placed in a cooler on ice The soil and water samples were transported under chain-of-custody <br /> manifest to Acculabs in Davis, California for analysis <br /> The four discrete samples were combined in the laboratory in one composite sample, SS-(1234) for <br /> analyses The composite soil sample and water sample were analyzed for benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), methyl-tert-butyl-ether (MTBE), total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons-as-gasoline (TPHg) using EPA method 8020/8015 modified The composite soil <br /> sample was also analyzed for total lead using EPA method 6010 <br /> The composite soil sample contained no reportable concentrations of BTEX, MTBE, TPHg or total <br /> lead above the laboratory reporting limit(Attachment 4) The water sample collected from the decon <br /> water drum contained no reportable concentrations of BTEX, MTBE, or TPHg above the laboratory <br /> reporting limit(Attachment 4) <br /> Since no petroleum hydrocarbon odors were observed in the drill cuttings and decon water placed <br /> in the drums and the water and soil did not contain reportable concentrations of the chemicals of <br /> concern, SECOR requests permission from the SJCEHD to spread the soil out in the grassy area on <br /> the south side of the eastern storm run off pond and dump out the decon water in the same area The <br /> drums will be removed from the site after spreading out the soil and water <br /> Sidewalk Removal and Replacement <br /> As part of the City of Lathrop encroachment permit, a 12 foot section of the city sidewalk <br /> surrounding the location of the former well MW-4 was required to be removed and replaced On <br /> October 14, 1998, the construction crew from Alonzo Concrete removed and replaced 12 linear feet <br /> of city sidewalk around the former well location A representative from SECOR was onsite to <br /> observe the concrete pour All concrete debris and extra materials were removed from the site by <br /> Alonzo Concrete On October 20, 1998, Mr Richard Williams made a final inspection of the <br /> sidewalk and gave verbal approval of the work completed under the encroachment permit to <br /> SECOR <br /> Request For Closure <br /> As requested in the SJCEHD letter included in Attachment 3, SECOR has destroyed seven wells at <br /> . the subject site Since the drums of water and soil at the site contain no chemicals of concern, no <br /> File ProjecffullerMobde HomelWellDestntctI LTR <br />
