L <br /> Fuller Mobile Home Park <br /> 365 East Louise, Lathrop, California <br /> Eastern Soil Contamination Boundary <br /> and <br /> Confirmation Work Plan <br /> I.0 Project Identification <br /> This project was developed to further investigate an underground storage tank release at <br /> the Fuller Mobile Home Park property located at 365 E. Louise Avenue, in Lathrop, <br /> California (Figure 1). This Phase III workplan was developed to investigate the hydraulic <br /> properties of the aquifer to aide in a plan to remediate the gasoline and diesel <br /> contamination disclosed in the previous phases of work. <br /> 2.0 Site Description and History <br /> On September 7, 1990, SEMCO, under permit, removed Fuller.Mobile Home Park's fuel <br /> facility, which consisted of two underground storage tanks; a 550 gallon diesel tank and a <br /> 1000 gallon gasoline tank. Soil samples taken from beneath the tanks disclosed <br /> concentrations of gasoline, diesel, and BTX&E. <br /> On March 31 and April 1,1992, W U Environmental Consultants, Inc., drilled four soil <br /> _ borings in the vicinity of the former underground tanks and obtained groundwater samples <br /> from the borings through a stainless steel well casing. Soil samples for laboratory analysis <br /> were obtained at 5 and 12.5 feet in depth. All five foot samples were non-detect. All of <br /> the 12.5 foot soil and groundwater samples had varying concentrations of gasoline, diesel, <br /> and BTX&E(Tables 1 & 2). <br /> On November 17 & 18, 1993, WHF drilled three soil borings and completed them as <br /> groundwater monitoring wells MW-1, 2 & 3. The wells were located on the shoulder of <br /> the proposed storm water retention pond (Figure 2), and were used to determine the <br /> groundwater gradient, and to define the soil and groundwater contamination. <br /> Laboratory soil samples were taken from all three borings at five and ten feet below <br /> ground level. A minimum of two soil samples from each boring were selected for analysis <br /> based on odor, discoloration, and previous findings. <br /> On November 22, 1994, WI-IF drilled two borings, B-5 and B-6, to obtain data to help <br /> determine placement of additional monitoring wells. Laboratory soil samples were <br /> obtained at five and ten feet below ground level and a groundwater sample was bailed <br /> from each boring through a stainless steel screen inside the augers.
